☆ This is “weekly monmontalk.” The name comes from the word “悶々(monmon).” But while the phrase “having a critical awareness and reflecting critically” tends to lead us closer to despair rather than hope in today’s society, this title means something more like: “Let’s believe in the future and wrestle with our thoughts(monmon), instead of being stuck in frustration(悶々)!”
☆ The main audience in mind is high school students who are starting to seriously think about university entrance exams. However, if you find “thinking itself interesting,” then even junior high school students can enjoy and engage with it.
☆ The column intentionally includes key terms and phrases that are useful for writing essays (which is essentially thinking). It covers everything from basic vocabulary to well-known philosophical or intellectual concepts. “All reflection is made possible by concepts.” the latest column!
